The villa lays in the Bracciano-Martignano Park, few tens North-West far from Rome. (39° km via Cassia Bis)
The area of the park offers hospitality to many natural habitats of hill and plain. Between Bracciano and Martignano Lakes, which have volcanic origins, there are many natural paths for walking, cycling and it is possible to go sailing and canoeing.
Around the lakes there are little towns with several artistic, cultural and gastronomic points of interest (Anguillara, Bracciano, Trvignano Romano) and little towns of Tuscia region (Sutri, Caprarola, S. Martino al Cimino, Viterbo, Tuscania). It is recommended moreover to visit Terme dei Papi in Viterbo and Terme di Manziana (thermal baths).
The remarkable closeness with the centre of Rome allows visits and excurtions of one day ‘s stay for admiring the artistic heritage of the capital city.
The villa is immersed in the oak-woods of the hills which surround the agricultural territory of Bracciano Lake near the little village of Trevignano Romano, 5 km far from the villa, which is 400 meters above sea level. This characteristic location guarantees the utmost privacy.
The average temperature of the place is about 4-5°C lower than the temperature in Rome. The shore of the lake (3 km) is reachable by car, on foot or by mountain-bike in few minutes through country roads or asphalted roads. There are several nautical clubs for renting canoes and sailing boats and for taking a rest and drinking something.
It is forbidden to sail the lake by engine boats, except for the ferry-boat that connect Anguillara, Trevignano and Bracciano.
